Re-Finishing School

So I'm impulsive. In many areas of my life. Especially when it comes to crafts. I often get inspired by something I see online, in the store, on Etsy and I think....I can make that. Then I spend the next day getting all sorts of supplies to do it. Then my ADD (inattentive type) kicks in and I leave all of my supplies collecting dust while I move on to the next craft thing I have to buy supplies for. Last summer, some friends came into town to visit. A couple friend. Friends that are a couple. So one one day of the weekend, the boys went to to watch football together and I went shopping with LM at vintage shops. Here is the conversation that went on between the boys while we were gone.

JM: So Nicole is going to pick us up?
CP (my guy): Yeah, I just hope we'll fit in the car when she gets back.
JM: What do you mean?
CP: You'll see

And then I show up LM and two vintage chairs stuffed in the back passenger seat of Bisbee, my Hyundai Accent.

JM: Oh, I see.

Somehow we still managed to fit four people in the car. LM and I squeezed into the back seats with chairs squishing our bodies. Then of course, I didn't do anything with the ugly chairs for about six months. Until now.

Wish I had a before picture but I forgot. They were pretty ugly. Poorly stained with brown dripped varnish all over the wood. The upholstery was dusty with the pink salmony color of emesis. I took apart the chairs, used my sander for the first time in my life (CP says it looked like a chair massacre in the living room). Primed and spray painted them Smoke Gray. The fabric I got online and stapled away. I'm pretty proud of these.
